To help save you some time, below is a list a several topics that we are always asked about.


Minimum Time for a Booking

For standard business days (Sunday through Saturday not including Holidays) we require at least two (2) weeks for Banquet & Catering bookings. In some cases we can accomodate event bookings with as little as five (5) days notice, however extra charges will apply to such events.


Requirements for a Banquet & Catering Booking

The following is required to make a booking with the Sherwood:

  • Your name or the name of the Company you represent
  • Mailing Address
  • Billing Address if different then above
  • A phone number where we can reach you
  • An email address for correspondence
  • Date and Time of your event(s)
  • The budget you are working with (so that we can customize to your needs)
  • The location(s) you are planning on holding your event(s)
  • A brief description of your event(s)
    (i.e. Birthday Party, Wedding, Lunch Meeting, BBQ Picnic, etc)
  • Type of service(s) you require
    (i.e. Food, Beverages, Equipment, Hospitality, etc.)
  • Number of Guests (including children)
  • Room setup information
  • A Non-refundable deposit ($100.00-$600.00)
    • This deposit certifies your intent.

China, Linen & Place Settings

For all Banquets and Caterings the Sherwood charges a minimum $50.00 setup fee for all China, Linen and Place Setting. For dinner meals this setup fee includes:

  • White Tablecloths for all tables
  • Water Glasses
  • 8" White Dinner Plates
  • 6" White Side Plates
  • Stainless Steel Cutlery
  • White Linen Napkins

Please note that the above setup will vary for Breakfasts, Lunches and Late Night meals. A disposable service with paper plates, plastic cutlery and paper serviettes, can be substituted for most meals.

Colour tablecloths, or different china place settings can be arranged, with an additional charge at the rental cost from the supplier.


Bartender Service Fees

As a fully licensed caterer we would be happy to provide you with a bartender for your function. Please note there is a Bartender Fee of $15.00/hour for On-Site events, and $20.00/hour for Off-Site events.


Payments & Deposits

As policy the Sherwood requires a non-refundable deposit of $100.00 to $500.00 at the time of booking. For all events, fifty percent (50%) of the estimated bill is due 7 days prior to the event, with the balance due at the end of the event by cash or cheque. Our banquet menu pricing is based on a cash payment method. Credit card payments may be arranged with a small service charge.

Special payment plans may be arranged upon request at the discretion of the Sherwood Restaurant & Catering and its Management.


Guaranteed Numbers & Guest Charges

You must notify us with the guaranteed number of guests that will be attending your function no later than 48 hours prior to the event.

For events priced based on the number of guests, you will be charged for either the guaranteed number, OR the actual total number of guests, which ever is greater.
